How PBS Changed My Life

Someone reminded me today that I have a Blog. Oops! Memory isn’t what it used to be, you know.

My friend D. is out of state right now, so I’m housesitting for her. Mostly this means that I sit around in her blue muu-muu and drink gallons of peach tea everyday. I’m also supposed to do other stuff like feed her animals and let the dog out, but so far I’ve blown that off. (Kidding, people! Kidding! The animals are well fed. One of the cats lets me know just how much by puking up half of what she eats everyday, anyway.)

Because D. has neither a DVD player (which means no Buffy marathons), nor cable (which means six channels), nor an antennae (which means only three channels on a bad day), I’ve been forced to watch local programming. You wouldn’t believe what I’ve been missing! First off, ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition left me on the couch crying buckets last night. I decided that I wanted to move to Encinita and marry the wonderful Dr. Wofford, spending the rest of my life rearing his eight children. They’re just such good people. (I know, I know. I think I’m about to have a period or something.) Then I watched Tucker Carlson on PBS and decided I wanted to marry him. The bow ties, however, will have to go.
